These anglerfish are getting into the Halloween spirit. 🎃
It's easy to do when you live in the dark, deep-sea where it's always spooky season! But they're not afraid of bumps in the night. With a unique, glowing lure and sharp teeth to catch prey, they're masters of the dark. pic.twitter.com/hy4zyxX0bQ
The Telescopefish (Gigantura sp.), photographed on the Gulf of Mexico. The larvae don’t look anything like the adults. Highly modified eyes are probably for detecting bioluminescent prey items. A deeply pigmented digestive tract cloaks newly eaten, still glowing, prey items. pic.twitter.com/53EOsTL0bs

やっぱり光のほぼ無い場所で進化したのかな
ゾウなんか実はかなり特異な姿じゃないか?
見た目と裏腹に硬いのか?
